We're Home. All of us.
Together. Since my son's blood pressure was stable, and we weren't having any problems, the doctors decided we did not need to stay another night, so we were actually discharged yesterday, February 15. It was a long day, because there was SO much that had to be done before he could go home, but we got it done, and now we're
home. Home, sweet home.
We said
goodbye to this:
And this:
And especially this:
And packed up our little guy to go
home.
I still can't believe that after 97 long days, it's finally over and he's HOME! Thank you so very much for all your prayers and encouragement. God is so good!
YAY!!!! YAY!!! YAY!!!! YAY!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Bethany! Don't know if you know me, but I have known the Lake family for a long time through Jackson Memorial. (My maiden name is Tripp) I've been following your blog for awhile now as I saw that you also have two little ones close in age. I have a one year old son (Dec 27, 08) and 6 week old daughter. We also had an unexpected surprise when my son was around 3-4 months old!;) With all of the challenges that brings, it helps to know that there are others in the same boat. I recently started a blog, as I found that "blogging" helps during the frustrating times when I feel overwhelmed. Sometimes its hard to know what to do when you have 2 little ones crying and needing to be held at the same time, or 2 messy diapers at the same time, both of which happen frequently. Somehow, we get through it. I'm grateful for my husband's days off from work, and help from family members when he's at work. There hasn't been much time for sleep, but luckily its been as rewarding as it has been tiring. =) I've been praying for Cohen and I'm so excited to find out he's finally home with his momma and his family! Continued prayers as he adjusts to being at home and continues to do well!! Congratulations to you and Josh!
ReplyDeleteYay! So wonderful!
