Halloween Fun-Who Says You Have to Wear a Costume?

Yesterday we took the kids to a Fall Festival down the street from us.  We decided to just walk, because it was nice outside and the church is right at the entrance to our neighborhood.  It doesn't seem very far at all, until you decide to walk all the way there and all the way back, haha! Oh well, it was a nice walk, and nice to get out of the house.

This was my attempt to get a picture of the kids together before heading out.  They were only semi-cooperative.  And yes, I am aware that they do not have cute, adorable, creative costumes.  After being out of town, and my husband's crazy schedule, and being pregnant, costumes just didn't happen.  But really, they are almost one and almost two.  Do you think it bothered them one bit that they were the only kids there without a costume?  I doubt it.  My daughter just enjoyed watching all the people, playing in the duck pond, and collecting candy in her bucket.  So really, it would have been a waste of money, right?  Yeah, just call me practical.  Or lazy.  Whatever. :)

But despite our lack of costumes, we had fun.  I mean, what's not fun about splashing the water in the duck pond, and then grabbing as many of the ducks as you can (which is apparently how my daughter plays the game...)?

Or trying to take off with all the balls from the klinko game?  (Don't worry, we did not steal anything from the church).

Or taking everyone's glow stick necklace for yourself and wearing them all at once?

Or snuggling with daddy when all you really want to do is go to bed?

Yup, we had a blast, normal, boring, everyday clothes and all.  And we brought home some yummy candy, which i saved for my daughter since she worked so very hard for it which I promptly ate, since candy is not for babies.  ;)

Happy Halloween!
