Wow. Where did the month of March go??? Apparently it got lost in the shuffle around here, because I have no idea where the time went. Guess that's why I wasn't blogging much. A lot of exciting things have been going on around here though, and we have been pretty busy! So tonight I am just rambling a little about what we've been up to, just in case anyone cares. :)
This month has been filled with lots of doctors visits. Our pediatrician has been watching my son's weight and blood pressure, so we go in frequently for check-ups. She decided that she wants a cardiologist to monitor his blood pressure and regulate his medication so that we can hopefully get him OFF the meds soon. While I'm very excited about this, seeing a cardiologist means a trip to Albuquerque, which means one VERY long day. But that's ok. We go at the end of April, so hopefully I will have a good report! He has also been evaluated by Child Development Services here so that we can continue to help him get caught up. This shouldn't be too hard, because he's pretty close to where he needs to be anyway. But if they are willing to help, I'll take it!
We have also spent a lot of time getting to know the families in our church better. We try to have a family over every friday (or most fridays) for dinner, and I have to say, I am really enjoying it! It's much easier for me to chat and get to know someone this way, as opposed to the "Hi, how are you," small talk on a Sunday morning. My hope is that we will never run out of people or families to invite, because our church never stops growing!
March 20-23 we had a fantastic couple, Paul and Vanessa Cherry, visit our church to preach a revival. To be honest, I was not very excited to be doing this, and did not have the greatest attitude. But I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed the services, as well as getting to know the Cherry's! I think it went very well, and we're looking forward to having them back.
And this week, my in-laws are in town, and it has been so great to have help, and to see how much fun my babies are having with their grandparents. Being a whopping 28 hours away from family, it's always a treat for them (or my parents!!) to visit!
Whew! Well, those are the highlights from March, and April looks like it will be even busier!! We kicked off the month with a fun adventure this afternoon, and I will be sharing pictures very soon. ;)
Happy April Fool's!!

It's so great that you are intentional about building relationships with those in your church. I do not know where I would be today without my church family. So thankful you got to spend time with family this past week. Can't wait to see pictures.
