What a Difference 2 Months Makes

I don't know if you remember, but earlier this summer, I loaded everybody up and headed to the pool.  At the beginning of the summer, my son was not even interested in getting in the water, and my daughter stayed well contained in her floaty, walking around a little, and playing in the fountain. 

But by the end of summer? 

No longer content to be stuck in the confines of a floaty,

this brave little girl insisted on getting in the pool and exploring on her own.

She even went under a couple times (with Daddy's close supervision) and did a great job holding her breath!

And this timid little boy,

who wanted nothing to do with the water,

held himself up in the floaty, watched his sister play, and even splashed some!

Time sure does fly!!  With the end of Labor Day weekend, we come to the end of summer.  But as hard as it is for me to believe that summer is over, I have to be honest.  I am SO ready for fall.  Texas summers are a little too hot for this (pregnant) mama.  So it's goodbye to summer and the pool, and hello to more mild temperatures (I hope!), fun fall outings, and pumpkin patch visiting! :)
